HRIS users satisfies with system function

The hospitals using digital Human resource information system (HRIS) have testified the useful of that system, as a tool which is strengthening hospital managers to deliver staff report timely due to easy availability of human resource data and its efficiency in storing such data.


Speaking at the Knowledge sharing forum for HRIS users organized by Christian Social Services Commission (CSSC), some of the users from Arusha Lutheran Medical Centre (ALMC), Kibosho, Dareda and Hydom hospital mentioned HRIS as the unique tool that has facilitated much to generate accurate reports that are currently being used in planning. The Chief Finance Officer at ALMC Mr. Aminiel Mungure said that, HRIS is very much useful during budgeting session. They have used it several times to budget staff salaries by comparing salary scale.

“When we need information we ask data clerk, we need someone’s information on salary scale or information about date of recruitment. We take those data, we compare them just to make sure that they are accurate then we start use them in budgeting session” said Mr. Mungure

In addition, he insisted that, every employee’s data being entered into the system is well verified by comparing to the personal physical file which each employee fills upon recruitment.Regarding to sustainability, most of the users indicated that they are in process to allocate budget that will be used to sustain system in the area of preventive maintenance and other small services. However they are still planning to conduct more training to other staff about the system.

The CSSC-THRP Coordinator Mr. Petro Pamba indicating that, CSSC has encouraged the hospitals to take ownership and responsibility of the system that is to take care of the equipment which was positively accepted. Through follow ups visits conducted, some changes are being observed from facilities, most of the hospitals have preventive maintenance plans.
