Project partners to meet in Mwanza for innovation workshop

Project partners working in health with IICD and Cordaid in the Connect 4 Change program are expected to gather in Mwanza from 5 – 6 March 2015 to reflect and exchange experience on the ICT related issues. The discussion will mainly focus on ICT for health, education and economic aspect as milestone to explore more opportunities for intervention.

It is the ICT-led social innovation, the process that describes the integration of ICT in existing education, health, economic programmes. This is a long term process that partners wishes to review together on an annual base. In the first step of this ICT-led social innovation, attention is being paid to identification of priorities and formulation of ICT programmes. This is followed by competency development, institutional integration of ICT and up-scaling of ICT at national level.

In 2011 they started their collaboration with the Round Table Workshop, followed by the solution design workshops and project formulation. In 2015, the full maturity of the activities need be reached.

The event will take place in workshop setting, using participatory approaches to share experiences, knowledge and skills. Facilitation will take place in the form of discussions, exercises and small group work. This workshop is organized by International Institute for Communication and Development (IICD) in collaboration with Afya connection for change Lake Zone together with CSSC-AfyaMtandao.
